Frequently Asked Questions
Answers to your questions
Is fire safety training required by law?
Yes. The Codex on Well-being at Work (Book III, Title 3) requires every employer to establish a first-response team and train them in the use of fire extinguishers and evacuation procedures. The number of people you need to train depends on various factors, such as the number of employees (FTEs), the number of locations, and the risks involved, among others.
Would you like more information about how many employees you need to train in this area? Give us a call or send us an email, and we’d be happy to help you figure it out.
Do participants receive a certificate?
Yes. Each participant will receive a personalized certificate upon completion. This certificate serves as proof for compliance with the Welfare Act and for your prevention file.
This way, your company will once again be in compliance with the law (Royal Decree 2014).
How much does fire safety training cost?
The price depends on the course you choose, the number of participants, and the number of sessions. Please contact us with this information, and we will send you a no-obligation quote within 24 hours.
Where and when will this course take place?
Most customers have the fire safety training conducted on-site. The main advantage is that this means staff don’t have to travel (= less time wasted).
By scheduling the training at your location, you can help decide on the date or time frame for the training.
If you only want to train 2–3 colleagues, it makes more financial sense to enroll these employees in one of our training courses. You can find the dates and locations here.
What do I need to host this training at my location?
We’ll come to your location with our mobile fire suppression unit. It’s about the size of a trailer, so it doesn’t take up much space. Four parking spaces will be more than enough. Daarnaast hebben we ook nog eens stopcontact nodig in de buurt (40m).
TIP: Look for a quiet spot (with little foot or vehicle traffic) and a fire-resistant surface (asphalt, gravel, etc.). This will ensure the safety of the participants.

How many participants can join?
We aim for groups of 10 participants. That way, we can ensure that everyone gets enough hands-on practice. After all, effective firefighting is what fire training is all about.
How long does fire safety training take?
The duration of the fire safety training depends on the package selected. This can range from a 1-hour fire safety workshop to a full-day first-response team training course.
Is fire safety training safe?
Fire safety training at brandblussen.be is definitely safe. We haven’t had a single accident or incident in the past seven years. We always take the necessary precautions to ensure it stays that way. So you can rest assured that your employees are in good hands.
